Fishing, Holiday Cottages in Loire region of France

The cottages are situated in the beautiful Loir valley alongside a quiet millstream.
We own the bank downstream and this includes wooded areas and an island
offering a large range of fishing exclusively available to guests in our cottages.

Our waters provide vastly differing opportunities for the angler. 30lb+ carp have
been caught in the millstream directly in front of the cottages and many fine
barbel are to be found in the faster stretches. The river is accessible upstream
and downstream from us and has a good head of bream, roach, chub etc. with
large carp and catfish for the more adventurous. We can advise on tackle, baits
and permits.

It is our aim to provide you with a relaxing, enjoyable holiday environment with
enough activities and places of interest nearby to suit both angler and non-angler
alike.

BBQs take place most weekends; guests are welcome to join us for a nominal fee.
A welcome pack of a few essentials, including a bottle of local wine, awaits your
arrival. Eggs from our free-range hens are for sale when available
We will, of course, try and supply any special requirements you may have i.e. cots,
high chairs etc...

Each cottage is fitted out to a very high standard and will sleep six people
comfortably. There are 2 double bedrooms with magnificent views over the river
and beyond, plus one smaller room with bunk beds. The family shower room is
situated at first floor level and the ground floor contains a large comfortable
lounge with wood-burner and UK television, fitted kitchen and dining area.

The gardens lead directly from the cottages to the millstream; these are fenced to
provide security for young children with gated access for fishing. Garden
furniture is situated overlooking the millstream, ideal for al-fresco dining or
simply relaxing with a glass of the local wine and a good book! Frequent visitors
to the garden include red squirrels, coypu, and lizards, plus a wide variety of
birds including the beautiful kingfisher.
